Los datos de una ciudad cambian todo el tiempo: un local cierra, un horario se modifica, un servicio se traslada, abre un lugar nuevo. Esas son justamente las cosas que un sitio como este necesita que le avisen desde el terreno. Nos sirve especialmente saber de:

A city's details change constantly: a shop closes, hours shift, a service moves, a new place opens. Those are exactly the things a site like this needs reported from the ground. We're especially keen to hear about:

How to write a useful report

Mientras más concreto, mejor y más rápido lo podemos comprobar. Un buen mensaje suele tener tres cosas: la página exacta, qué está mal y, si puedes, de dónde sacas el dato correcto.

The more concrete it is, the faster we can check it. A good message usually has three things: the exact page, what's wrong, and —if you can— where the correct fact comes from.

1. La página: pega el enlace (URL) o dinos su título, por ejemplo «Código postal de Temuco» o «/attractions/cerro-nielol/».The page: paste the link (URL) or name it, e.g. “Temuco postal code” or “/attractions/cerro-nielol/”.
2. Qué está mal: cita la frase o el dato concreto y dinos cuál sería el correcto.What's wrong: quote the sentence or figure and tell us what it should say.
3. La fuente, si la tienes: una web oficial, una foto del horario pegado en la puerta, o tu propia experiencia reciente («fui el sábado y estaba cerrado»). Todo ayuda.The source, if you have one: an official website, a photo of the hours posted on the door, or your own recent experience (“I went on Saturday and it was closed”). It all helps.

No necesitas adjuntar documentos ni redactar nada formal. Una línea clara —«en la página del aeropuerto dice 20 km, pero por la ruta son más bien 25»— ya es un aporte excelente.

Cada mensaje se lee y, si propone un cambio de contenido, se contrasta con la fuente oficial correspondiente antes de tocar el sitio: CorreosChile para códigos postales, la CONAF para el cerro Ñielol y los parques, el INE para población, la Municipalidad de Temuco para trámites, la Dirección Meteorológica para el clima. Solo cuando el dato queda confirmado lo publicamos o lo corregimos.

Every message gets read, and if it proposes a content change we check it against the relevant official source before touching the site: CorreosChile for postal codes, CONAF for Cerro Ñielol and the parks, the INE for population, the Municipalidad de Temuco for paperwork, the weather service for climate. Only once a fact is confirmed do we publish or correct it.

Leemos todo, pero somos un equipo chico: hacemos lo posible por responder, sin poder garantizar una contestación individual a cada correo. Que no recibas respuesta no significa que tu aporte se perdiera; muchas veces el mejor «gracias» que podemos dar es simplemente corregir la página.
